Qualcomm recently announced a 5G millimetre-wave independent networking (SA) performance breakthrough, achieving robust millimetre-wave performance in multiple technology validations to meet future commercial millimetre-wave deployments in China.
Tests conducted by Qualcomm with major system network vendors show that 5G millimetre-wave independent networking mode (FR2-only) delivers higher rates and lower latency than the Sub-6 GHz band, enabling more flexible 5G network deployments and meeting the need for greater network capacity.
With richer spectrum resources, millimeter wave is critical to further increase the speed of 5G connections and unleash the full potential of 5G applications. Including China, 180 operators in 45 countries and regions around the world are investing in 200MHz 5G millimeter wave, and global 5G millimeter wave deployment has become unstoppable.
Radar is an important component to enhance the level of information technology in weapons and equipment. Compared to other microwave bands, millimeter wave components are small in size and easy to miniaturize. At present, millimeter wave has been in the radar detection, missile guidance, satellite remote sensing and other military fields, as well as vehicle, satellite communications, 5G and other civilian areas to get full force, millimeter wave industry chain is expected to continue to explode.
